Google’s March 2024 Update
At the beginning of March 2024, there was a core algorithm update that Google started rolling out – the Helpful Content Update. This update was aimed at trying to decrease visibility for scaled content with a big focus on low-quality AI-generated content.
This is also on the heels of a fairly unprecedented amount of major updates at the end of Q3 2023, starting in September, and going in through Q4. That had a pretty big impact on the SEO space. This latest Google update, starting in March 2024, was supposed to take about 30 days from the announcement to roll out. We’re now weeks past that and still seeing effects.
As a whole, the helpful content update is having a really big impact on content creators. There are big impacts across the board and we’re at a point where we’re having to shift and adjust to the changes that Google is making. Chris Rodgers discusses these changes with Kevin Price of the nationally syndicated Price of Business show. Listen to the full conversation below for insights.
